MORE snow pics

Can you tell I love snow? And taking pictures… here, some more winter inspiration, starting with the tree in the cemetary (not that you can tell with all that snow), Mt. Battie in the background:

Here’s the Village Green:

And the Harbor, from in front of the library:

I love the “dinosaur ridges” on the tree branches (near our house):

And the snow at least a foot deep blanketing my studio over the garage:

I love it when the snow sticks on the trees. Usually it falls off after the temperature changes and/or the wind blows. This year the snow has stayed on our trees for several weeks and is so beautiful. Makes winter worth it.

Wondeful ! Lucky you !! Course I’d adore it for a day or two so I could make angels in the snow – and then I would want it to go away !!

Looks like you got the same snowstorm we did in Vermont! Lovely isn’t it?

We also enjoy the ice that clings to rocks along the highways where part of a mountain was cut away to let the highways through. After a while it develops colors in some places but we aren’t sure why. It may be color from vegetation that the water runs through or rust from iron ore in the ground. In any event it is one of the interesting things to observe in the winter.
