The State of the Studio, more on the floor
Hoooray…the floor is done Done DONE! And here’s the last bits and pics….
Then I moved all the “stuff” to the already-painted half of the room and proceeded to get rid of the old washing-off dark greenish paint (latex?).
Here’s the floor with almost all of the paint removed.
The remaining bits refused to come up, so the floor will have a slightly “leopard spot” look when done. Oh well. Nothing much to be done–do NOT want to rent an industrial sander and create a dust mess just to remove them.
And compare the 3-coats on the top of the photo (the first part of the floor completed) and the single coat on the bare floor on the second half:
In progress….
DONE!!!!!!!
Well…the floors are done. There was still more work…design walls, display space, closet doors (in a couple of weeks)…..stay tuned!

Great progress. It at least looks like you can work in there, now. Does this give you the quilting mojo with everything all exciting and new? I would be itching to create something in that space. Have fun!!!!

And all it took was a plan, perseverance and time! Glad you have survived this major project and can’t wait to stand in the middle of it all and marvel!

What a brilliant color! I love the way it pairs with your blue fabric shelf. Congrats on finishing an awful job. Now sew like the wind!

Great job! But if you wear your lime green shoes, will you be able to see where your feet are? Just saying, it would be the green version of a white out! LOL! I actually love the colour! Great choice!

what hard work Sarah, it looks wonderful done and it’s great you have studio, it looks a fairly good size too,
enjoyed seeing your class in the earlier post, how nice to have students that take a technique and use it their own way instead of just doing a carbon copy of the tutors work,
take care, Frances
