What’s next…koi!
Well, I really should be working on my book. Instead I am indulging myself seriously and trying to finish (!!!!) a 40×60 ish quilt in 6 weeks! The idea is fully formed in my head, I have the fabrics and the beads, and in the past couple of days since finishing the chapter banner, have sketched out the picture in the head into three koi.
And here is day 1: (sigh…please tilt head to left…it’s a vertical)
Stay tuned for updates…..
And thanks to all for the kind comments on the Chapter Banner. Many of the comments have come through as “No reply.blogger” so I can’t reply to you directly to say thanks for writing, so… Thanks for taking the time to surf in and write! Now… back to the usual morning routine / chaos!

Thanks for sharing your works in progress at this level — I learn so much by watching how you lay out the design and audition fabrics. Love the movement in the curves of the fish!

Thanks for sharing your WIP. With the beautiful fabrics you have already picked out I’m sure it will turn into a spectacular quilt. I can’t wait to see how it progresses

I’ll be watching how you make this quilt. With those fabrics and fish you have drawn it will be sure to be fantastic.

Hi Sarah,
Did you really mean 6 days?

WOW! I wanted to comment on the post above this one, too, but comments were turned off…
You are ROCKIN’!
I love the double line of stitching and you’re VERY sensible to apply the fishies – dang, there’s a needlework term on the tip of my tongue – ah, SLIPS! That’s what you call it when you do this in embroidery – applying slips. So all the construction etc is on the applied piece, nothing to muss up your background.
You make me want to head to my studio and SEW – I can’t WAIT for your book!
