Leaf Sampler

So often quilters buy expensive sewing machines, then use only the straight stitch, and maybe sometimes a zig-zag stitch. By using the array of decorative stitches built into these machines and an assortment of threads and colors, a set of leaves made of the same two fabrics look completely different. This sampler was prepared for my Decorative Stitch Applique class, and is inspired by a sampler Jane Sassaman shared in her classes and which is (all too briefly) shown in her book, The Quilted Garden.
